it was dave's day off today. oh thursdays... we long for thursdays all week long.
dave took charlie for about an hour this morning to let me sleep for an hour, then he made us coffee and french toast. yay! (and yum!)
then lazy snuggling, tv, eventually showers, and we made it over to pasquals for lunch before heading to the zoo for the afternoon.
first, i would like to note: boys need bonnets!

walks in the ergo=naptime everytime! also, note short sleeves on charlie and sleeveless mommy. it was LOVELY out today.
lily has been really interested in fishing lately. i'm not sure why, but my best guess is an episode of the tv show "little bill" that she watched where bill used veggie hot dogs as bait to catch fish. she thought this was the most hilarious idea ever. anyway, you can imagine her excitement when she found the the Madison Childrens Museum had a mobile exhibit at the zoo today which included "fishing" off of a bridge and out of a boat. THRILLED.
also, can i tell you how unfair baby eczema is? squishy chubby arms and legs, the softest silkiest skin i've ever felt... but with patches of upset, red, chapped sadness... sigh. i'm planning to email our pediatrician soon. frequent baths and lotion isn't getting rid of it, and assuming it's an allergy to something i'm eating, i'd love to know what so I can stop exposing him to it.
