Beautiful day out!!
We started out with a walk from the house down to the "castle park" at Mckee farms park. We've been walking down to Liliana's a lot ever since I caved and bought a double jogging stroller. It's hard to justify a stroller for an almost-4-year-old but she cant keep up on fast walks and cant walk very far without getting tuckered out, so there it is. Anyway, we love it!
I get to walk as fast as I want to, Charlie takes nice naps, Lily loves going for a ride, and they are SO cute buckled in next to each other. Lily even gave Charlie a foot rub the other day when he was starting to doze off.
We've reached that glorious age where Lily meets new, very temporary friends at the park and plays with them with no need for us. So Dave met up with us at the park, and instantly Lily met up with these two "big princesses" and they adopted Lily, their "Little Princess" who they took care of and saved from the "Bad Prince" for about 20 minutes while dave and I chatted and watched Charlie snooze. I hope this is what having big kids is. Checking in, enjoying watching them play, but not the constant never ending supervision and playing we've had the past few years. I love that girl, but mama needs a break.
anyway, the rest of the day was errands. three different banks, groceries, restaurant, my first pumpkin spice frappucino of the season (YUM!), gas station, car wash, separate trip for masking tape, and so on.
