Fitchburg Story Time again today! So fun! I cant believe its free.
The topic today was Colors! I like how BEFORE they expect 2-5 year olds to sit and listen quietly they get them up to do something active. Last week it was a song with coordinated motions, this week they handed out colored fabric (of course lily had to have YELLOW, thats the only good color!) and they were asked to do some neat follow the leader type actions with the fabric, and then there was music of different tempos and the kids were told they could do whatever they wanted with their fabric while the music played. Fun!
Charlie, "slinging it up" as lily called it :)
they provided tshirts and paint for each kid to do an art project and talk about color, lily had fun, and now she has the perfect thing to wear while she paints at home, since its already covered in paint!
after the art project, they had a nice big room open for free play with gymnastic mats, kiddy bowling, those big ball things with a handle that you sit on and bounce that im sure have a name, and also, these things in the picture below. Lily is mystified because all the big kids seem to be able to get them to go, but she cant do much more than a little wiggling in place. She'll work it out eventually :)

ACk! The sling picture!! My baby factory is aching!
ReplyDeleteLily is beyond adorable! Her hair is getting so long!!
