Best. Toy. Ever.

The easter bunny brought a My Pal Violet for Lily and a My Pal Scout for Charlie. He was just going to bring the one for Charlie, because its really geared toward the under 3 crowd, but since the Pals are totally customizable the easter bunny knew Lily would love a puppy that said things like "I love you Liliana" and "my favorite color is yellow, is that your favorite color?" So it's fun, and pretty inexpensive for all the cute things it can do, but why is it Best.Toy.Ever?

It puts my kids to sleep. Oh yes. With three presses of a puppy footie, Scout or Violet says 10 minutes of "bedtime music", then says "snuggle up Liliana" or "Goodnight, Charlie" and then this $15 toy does what takes Dave or me most of an hour and lots of frustration. I love rocking my baby to sleep as much as the next mama, but this is an awesome break when I need it.

Seriously, even if its novelty and it only works for this week and then goes back to being a cute stuffed toy, totally worth it. It even helped Charlie fall asleep-right on the floor!

Also, its just about the coolest toy ever. Im waiting for Lily to get sick of hers so I can reprogram it for me.

Flowers picked from our own garden are just plain BETTER than other flowers.

They smell better

They taste better??

And they are free! so I dont mind as much when Lily loooooves them so much they are mangled little flower carcasses within a few hours.

Side effect: Prolonged exposure can cause spontaneous kiss attacks.

Easter!

Our easter day started with going to Liliana's for brunch. Yum!

two part easter post!

we made lots of food related easter fun. we'll be distributing cookies to neighbors tomorrow i imagine, since we dont need to eat so much of this stuff, we were just having fun! i didnt even take pictures of the tons of jello eggs we made, but there are lots of those as well!

then we decorated them. after a few cookies i was able to let go of my concern about mess or whether they came out cute (or edible!) and let lily really enjoy herself.

one batch of this yummy recipe made a LOT of cookies! i'm glad we had tami and patrick to help us decorate for a while today. such cute ideas!

So, let me just tell you, it is really creepy to find stalker like photos of a mundane task from your day on your own phone.

Oh, the joys of having a three year old who is good with technology and interested in photography (and creeping out her mother!)

So here's how it went when i found the pictures:

oh hey, a blurry photo of my own front door, i guess i could have accidentally taken that.

hmm... my groceries and my fridge.. thats kinda weird.. i guess maybe as i was setting my phone down after grocery shopping?

AAAAHHH!!! the photos are coming from inside my kitchen.. creepyyyyy!!

I was so surprised to find a few flowers popping up today! Hooray!
